Donor Egg IVF in the U.S.

About Us

The Genetics & IVF Institute was the original American center to integrate advanced reproductive technology (ART) and genetic services.  We take pride in the fact of having been a part of this “new” branch of medicine since its inception. Some of our achievements in the field include:

  • •Achieved America's first frozen embryo twin birth.
  • •The first American center to publicly report pregnancies using ICSI (intracytoplasmicsperm      injection).
  • •The first to test patients for certain genetic mutations which are associated with hereditary breast cancer.
  • •Developed the technique of non-surgical sperm aspiration for improved treatment of male       infertility.
  • •First in the world to initiate ovarian cryopreservation for patients with cancer.
  • •Developed a method using preimplantation genetic testing for the prevention of Huntington disease.
  • •One of the first donor egg IVF programs in the United States, launched in the late 1980s.
