Donor Egg IVF in the U.S.

An Overview of Our Donor Program

Six Reasons the GIVF Donor Egg
Program is So Popular in the UK

1. We Have Both a Fresh Program and an Egg Bank

Having more options means your treatment can be tailored to fit your needs. Choose to match with a donor who is part of our fresh program, or purchase a cohort of frozen eggs from our very own egg bank, the Fairfax EggBank. This means more donors to choose from, more options when it comes to cost and immediate availability. Start treatment right away or plan a timeline that works with your schedule - it’s up to you. Dr. Laurence Udoff describes key differences between fresh and frozen donor eggs and addresses the question of how they compare in terms of patient success rate.

2. Our Fantastic Donors

GIVF boasts one of the largest pools of ethnically-diverse, pre-screened anonymous donors anywhere in the United States. Our donors are highly educated, many with advanced degrees. We provide both current photos as well as childhood photos in addition to detailed medical and personal profiles on all our donors. Our vast and diverse selection of donors combined with the tremendous amount of information we provide on each ensures that you can be confident in your choice.

3. Outstanding Success Rates

Most GIVF patients will achieve a clinical pregnancy after just one attempt. The success rates between fresh and frozen are comparable - Over 50% for frozen eggs and over 60% for fresh cycles. (Our strict definition of success is defined as confirmation of an intra-uterine pregnancy by ultrasound, not just a positive blood pregnancy test.)

4. Affordable Options

Rather than a “one size fits all” approach, we offer many options so that our patients can choose a package that fits their needs.

  • • Purchase a single treatment cycle, our “Pay as you go” option.
  • • Our “multi-cycle” contract includes two cycles as well as all resulting frozen embryo transfer cycles.
  • • One of our most popular packages is the “Delivery Promise”, which guarantees a baby is born as the result of treatment or the cost of treatment is refunded.
  • • Split cycles make treatment even more affordable. In a split cycle, half of the eggs obtained at the time of the donor’s egg retrieval go to the recipient. (Please note: split cycles are only available for patients opting for a fresh donor egg cycle.)

5. Expertise

The Donor Egg IVF program at GIVF is a national leader, with a reputation for excellence since its inception in the 1980s. Decades of experience means we are better equipped to understand and to earn the special trust that donor egg recipients place in us. Working closely with our patients, ensuring they each receive expert care and guidance is incredibly rewarding. We celebrate with the news of every baby born as a result of our program…It is our sincere hope that our next success story will be yours.

6. Minimal Travel to the United States for Treatment

Most of our patients who live abroad choose to begin their treatment at home. The process is begun and largely completed via phone consultations, and emails. Pre-cycle testing and most monitoring appointments can be done locally so that the recipient need only travel to the U.S. once. We do not require a mock cycle for the vast majority of our patients.

When it is time to travel to us, only a short stay is required. (A typical stay for a fresh donor egg cycle would be about seven to ten days. A frozen cycle it would require a shorter stay, less than one week. If using previously-frozen sperm or donor sperm, the recipient need only be in the U.S. for 2-3 days.) While most of the treatment can take place remotely, it is necessary to be at our clinic for fertilization and the embryo transfer. Patients are able to travel home the day after embryo transfer.
